Democratic Club?
Thanks to the dedication of our hardworking members,
here's what we've accomplished since forming in January 2005:
● Gained a growing and active membership
● Held (almost) monthly Club meetings and published newsletter
● Developed Twinsburg Democratic Club website
● Held Annual Summer Picnics and Year-End Holiday Party
● Co-planned Summit County “Save Our Social Security” Rally
● Sponsored two local Candidate Forums (for Twinsburg City Council and
Twinsburg Township Board of Trustees, and Twinsburg Board of Education)
● Opened communications with Western Reserve Outreach Center and
Twinsburg Citizens for Diversity & Excellence
● Served on Summit County Democratic Party Steering Committee
● Partnered with other Democratic clubs in sponsoring candidate forums
for U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, Ohio Governor, and Ohio
Attorney General
● Circulated petitions and organized phone drives for Social Security,
minimum wage, and a range of political issues (Supreme Court
nominations, NSA surveillance, Iraq War, progressive representation on
Armed Forces Radio)
● Supported Democratic candidates
by providing a public platform and actively campaigning for them
Please consider joining the Twinsburg Democratic Club. Your dues help to
defray the cost of the club’s activities and expenses: printing,
postage, office supplies, website hosting, picnic, parties, etc. Annual
dues are just $20.00 per family or $15.00 per individual. Your
membership and participation helps us make a
difference.
